Happy March!!

March 15
Lauren won her first awards in school!   She won one for PE and another for Terrific Kid!!

March 17--Paul and I were going to be out of town at the same time in completely different directions and for different reasons!  Grandpa and Grandma Wade came to keep Lauren for us!  They made a lovely bunny cake!
 Harper LOVED Grandpa Wade!
 Carrie did some face painting!

March 23--Chatham had his first soccer game!   It was SUPER cold but we all had fun!
Chatham is #6.  He looked so cool!
 Scoring a goal!
March 27--Chatham turned 4!  We celebrated at Backstreets!
March 31--Happy Easter!  The Easter Bunny did something neat this year!  Instead of filling a basket for Lauren this year, he filled plastic eggs with notes, leaving clues for Lauren to find her own goodies throughout the house.

 Bubbles in the laundry room...
A Barbie pen, a princess kite, some candy, cupcake note cards, nail files, and a few activity books!  It took us almost 45 minutes to read and locate the goodies, but it was a LOT of fun!  Lauren was so thrilled that she wrote the Easter Bunny a thank you note!  (*By the way, only daddies know the Easter Bunny's address, so thank you, Devin, for helping get that note mailed!!)
After church, Lauren was a bit moody.  She didn't want to take pictures...so sad...
Oh, this picture got mixed up!  The EB brought her a magnetic map of the US, JUST like Gram got for Chatham!  Super fun!!
Back to pictures.  I got L to smile a little...
...only because I asked her if she wanted to stick out her tongue!
And take another with new pink tiny bunny!
We headed to the Donley's for Easter dinner (ham, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, rolls, mashed taters--NOT hot dogs like Carrie first suggested!) and to dye eggs.  The kids were stripped of their shirts and away they went!
Harps and I colored while the other dyed eggs.
Carrie made an Ireland egg for Paul--Green, White, Orange!

Harper had a LOT of fun, too!  She really wanted to put her hands in the dye, and it was a two-mommy job to keep her from it!
Harper was FUNNY!  Devin was talking about something and Harper covered up her ears!  We were in hysterics!
And then these two clowns come downstairs, saying they are thirsty from dancing...with babies in their bellies!  Carrie, Devin, and I were DYING laughing behind our hands, pillows and shirts.  I was able to gather control to snap a pic!
Paul is now in England, will be in Paris on Tuesday, and will head to Ireland to start student teaching on Thursday.  He is having a blast and hitting the typical tourist traps!  He's eaten fish and chips (he said they were to die for!) and then gone on to drink Coke and eat British pizza tonight.  I told him I want pictures and comparisons!

The end of our month of March was rainy before church, sunny and warm mid-afternoon, then filled with sprinkles, rain, hail, harder downpours, then thunder and lightening.   March is going out like a lion...I hope April is good!

Not many pictures...

I've been a blogger slacker.  Most of my posts are now through Facebook rather than the blog.  We had our 100th day of school in January.  Lauren had to make a project so she had "a ball on the 100th day!"
Valentine's Day, 2014: Carrie's friend made Valentines shirts for the kids.  Here are Lauren, Harper, Hannah, and Chatham sporting them!

February 9--Cara turned 4!  We had great weather that day so Lauren wanted to pose for pictures!
There is a tiny pink flower below Lauren on that branch.  She wanted a picture with flowers.

Lauren was trying to talk to the birthday girl, but Cara wanted her mama.
They started to talk jewelry and all was well!
 Happy 4th birthday!
February 12--Lauren's school had spirit week to raise funds.  Lauren's assistant, Mrs. Gold, made Lauren into a bunny.  Lauren was VERY saddened when people kept telling her she was a cute kitty.
She was also exhausted by the end of the day...

February 19--We went to visit the Neigh-Neighs for a few minutes.  Lauren didn't want to go so she tried to hide in their ottomans...as you can see, she has grown and no longer fits!  Ha!  Caught you!
February 23--Carrie's neighbor took her daughter to a Lowes Home Improvement Build and Grow event where they made a bird house.  Hannah LOVED it, so after the guys took Lauren and Chatham to see Monster Trucks in Charlotte in January, we HAD to take the kids to build Grave Digger!  Carrie and Chatham had fun following the directions.
Lauren worked really hard on nailing her pieces together!
So did Chatham.  He needed a little more help and Carrie had to move her fingers every now and then...
Chatham and Lauren had little paper cars that they could run over with Grave Digger!

 Ta-Da!!!

Lauren's 1st Build and Grow project!
March 9--The 2nd Build and Grow Monster Truck, Monster Mutt,  was today!  Monster Mutt was both Lauren and Chatham's FAVORITE at the show.  Carrie took both kids because I am getting over the flu.

 Ta-Da!  Truck number 2!

Thanks for taking the kids, Carrie!!

Then we had a birthday party for Nate.  I found out at the party that Nate talks about Lauren ALL the time!  Riding the horse...

 Hey-Chuck E!
