Wacky Postings

Blogger wants to be difficult and put the pictures I wanted 1st, last!  Grr...So I'll just grab the rest of the pictures I have and make this an out of order post month!
October 26--Patterson Farm Field Trip!  Lauren's kindergarten classes experienced their first field trip to the pumpkin patch!  I was unable to go because I have  been out a LOT in other trainings (so far this year, I have missed 6 days for training while the kids were in class--and NONE of them have been sick days!).  Lauren said her two favorite friends are Ameria (Lauren's left) and Chloe (Lauren's right).  Lauren in the 3rd kids from the left in the front row (orange long sleeves).  Rumor had it that she was getting kissed by Nate (a co-worker's son in her class and one of the boys she played in soccer) in the barn!  She said she didn't kiss him back.  Paul asked if Nate was her boyfriend and she told him, with fire in her voice, "NO!  HARRIS IS!!"
Suzy was snapping pictures at soccer.  Yea!  A Wade Family picture!!
 Lauren the silly girl!
Lauren's boyfriend Harris!  He loves to hug her and pick her up so he can carry her.
Pictures I got of the last game!  (Oct. 24)
Lauren is number 41.  She was looking at a player from the other team kick the ball.
She is in the corner of the field with Coach Michael (blue shirt), kicking the ball in bounds.  Look at the blonde girl in the burgundy.  I SWEAR she is a little Leah!
Lauren running with the kids.  Mind you, she's the kid on the far left...

October 20--Red Wolf Farm.  We made our 3rd annual trek to Red Wolf  with the Cadwalladers and the Donleys.  Lauren started out with the BEST, HAPPIEST attitude but by the end, she was grumpy and irritable, so there aren't many pictures of her.  Suzy got one on the hay ride to the pumpkin patch!  Yea!
The corn bins are our FAVORITE way to play!  Nick held Cara, Harris held Lauren, and Chatham held Harper.  The rest of the kids and parents played elsewhere, but Harper and I stayed in the corn and had the BEST time!  Carrie got a picture of me playing with the corn and Harper copying my motions!
Here are some shots I got...Chatham by the scarecrow!
Lauren waiting on a bale of hay for her turn to be measured!
 She's THIS tall!!!
Strangling Harper on the fire truck!
 A happy trio
Hi, Harps!!  Come play with See-sa!!

Lauren and Paul having a "talk" about whether or not we can take 3 pumpkins back to the car or 2...
The kiddos petting Henny Penny.  Then the goat started to eat Lauren's shirt and she as telling some strangers about it (it was very funny to hear her tell it!) and then the attitude arrived...
Church Fall Festival--October 14 (or thereabout): Lauren and I headed to the annual fall festival without the Caddys and Donleys and it was SO not fun without our besties!  We did our best to enjoy our time though!  Lauren had a butterfly painted on her cheek...
 ...decorated a cookie...
... jumped in the bounce houses...

...and then we ate and went home.  We missed our friends!!
Last night...Lauren was being funny and took a drink umbrella to adorn her water!

October 27--We participated in our 2nd annual pumpkin carving event at the Donley's house.  However, I was so preoccupied with gathering pumpkin seeds (to roast--YUM), that I didn't take any pictures1  Here are our pumpkins though: mine on left, Paul in middle, Lauren on right.  She wanted it to be a cat.
One of Lauren's new favorite shows is on Disney called Doc McStuffins.  It is about a little girl whose stethoscope allows her toys to come to life.  She is a toy doctor.  Lauren pulled out her doctor bag and was trying to diagnose her puppy's ailments.  Doc draws a picture in the Big Book of Boo-boos and gives the toys a check up. She diagnoses them with lots of -itises and other things.  It is an adorable show!  Anyway, I caught Lauren being Doc McLauren.
Puppy had low blood-a-titus in her paws.  It was written in the Lauren Book of Boo-boos.  When we watched today, she drew in the ailments of the toys on the show.  I am pretty impressed with my little artist!  She is WAY better than I ever was!  Or am!
Oct. 28--David blew about one-quarter of the leaves in his yard to the road last night, so Lauren and I decided we would have to jump today!  We played for about 30 minutes or so.  Buster refused to join us because David wasn't outside.  Not sure why.

Remember before I said that we had to modify Lauren's pumpkin?  We added pipe cleaner whiskers to her kitty cat!  Then the sprinkles came...
Oct. 21--Paul was working on an assignment for his kindergarten class.  As a normal part of the routine, Paul decided it would be fun to practice comparing numbers.  Using popcorn, Lauren got the concept very well, including using the symbols for greater than >, less than <, and equal to =.  Not bad!
Oct. 27--My annual pumpkin seed roasting!  Yea!  This was batch 1 of 3!
Oct. 28--a little better picture of our pumpkins, including the modified kitty pumpkin on right!
Oct. 28--David kept working on the leaves, this time in the back yard.  He sent Tracy over specifically to get Lauren outside to play!  David moved a lot of leaves but said he was going to leave this pile in the back a few days "so Lauren can play".  Talk about love!  Here is my  happy Buster!!
Lauren and...look to the right...look down...YEP!  Buster is there, too!  (Pink tongue)
Happy October!
